Therapeutic Massage

Therapeutic Massage Therapy appointments at Beetroot Massage Therapy are customized to you.

Every appointment with Katrina includes an assessment to see what will best suit your needs and goals.

Light, moderate or deep pressure? You choose! Techniques and pressure are also adjusted throughout the treatment. Various body areas may require more or less pressure for your safety and comfort and will be adjusted accordingly.

Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ) Disorder Massage

A treatment catered to those experiencing face, jaw and neck pain or discomfort. This focused treatment targets muscles and structures of the neck, face, jaw and scalp. A treatment and treatment plan will be curated to suit your specific needs. When indicated and with your consent, techniques used may include: Fascial, myofascial, trigger point release, Swedish massage, intra-oral and lymphatic techniques. This treatment is best suited for those experiencing jaw tension from grinding, clenching and life’s daily stressors.

During your initial appointment (60mins) a thorough discussion and assessment will be conducted prior to hands on treatment.

45 minute TMJ focused follow-ups are available afterwards.

75 minute and 90 minute appointments including a combination of TMJ massage and therapeutic massage to address other areas of the body and concerns are also available.

Prenatal Massage

Massage Therapy during pregnancy is a safe and effective way to promote relaxation and help alleviate related soreness.
Our main goal is for you to be safe and comfortable during your treatment. Appointments are always held in a non-judgmental space with lots of pillows to keep you cozy and relaxed.

A thorough intake and assessment will be performed before each appointment to go over the treatment and body positioning during the massage. Please note that prenatal massage as you progress through your pregnancy is best performed in a side lying position to avoid intrauterine and low back ligament pressure.
